Weekly Update: September 1st


Pumpkin Ripening

As we close the chapter on August, the weather has taken a surprisingly cool turn—especially this past week. Our on-site weather station recorded overnight temperatures plummeting to 5°C just last night. While the chill in the air is pleasant, we're crossing our fingers that we can avoid an early frost. On the bright side, our pumpkins are ripening nicely, the tomato plants are giving us their final push, and we're busily preparing our greenhouse for the fall crops that await their turn in the soil.

For those who've been following our updates, you'll recall that we ventured into potato cultivation for the first time this year. This week, your share will include Yukon Gold potatoes—a variety beloved for its buttery, rich texture and golden hue. Yukon Golds are versatile, making them excellent for mashing, frying, or adding into soups and stews. We're excited for you to try them and would love to hear your feedback.


Since both zucchini and potatoes are featured in your share this week, we thought it apt to share a comforting recipe for Zucchini, Potato & Ham Chowder. One of our team members recently tried this recipe and highly recommends it. You can find the recipe details here.
