Well, it's been a very hot first week of September. After the long weekend, our team started early on Tuesday & Wednesday to try to avoid the worst of the heat. We managed to be done in the field by about 2pm each day, but it was still heavy and difficult working conditions.
Food Banks & Support
This season, we're continuing our mission to combat food insecurity by delivering fresh produce to various local institutions every week. Our deliveries go to:
Bobcaygeon Food Bank
Fenelon Falls Food Bank (Salvation Army)
Kawartha Lakes Food Source in Lindsay - a hub that supplies to 11 other food banks in the area.
Additionally, we're donating salad fixins' to Feeding Fenelon, a community initiative spearheaded by local chefs through Lotus Indian Bistro. Every Tuesday, they offer free or donation-based dinners, open to anyone.
To date, we've donated over 2,200 pounds of fresh produce to the Kawartha Lakes Food Source alone, plus several hundred more pounds to other partners.
We couldn't do any of this without the support of our CSA members and customers. Your purchases make these donations possible, so thank you for helping us endure.

If you ever find yourself wanting additional items, or if you know anyone—friends, family, or neighbours—who might also appreciate our fresh, locally-sourced produce, direct them to our online platform.
We offer delivery services to residents in both Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls.
