Nothing says summer like fresh basil. These seedlings produce tender, aromatic leaves perfect for pesto, caprese salads, pasta, pizza, and garden-fresh sauces.
 
Basil thrives in warm weather and grows quickly once established. With regular harvesting, plants become bushier and continue producing all season long.
 
We start our basil indoors and grow the plants in 3" square pots for 6-8 weeks under controlled conditions. Plants are timed to be ready around May 20th, which is generally considered a safe last frost date in our area.
 
Basil is sensitive to cold temperatures, so we grow sturdy, well-rooted plants that establish quickly once nighttime temperatures stay consistently warm.
