You may have noticed that it's been an especially hot week. Despite the heat, the garden is looking great, and the plants are thriving.
To ensure we harvest the best quality veggies, our team has been starting early to work during the coolest part of the day. We're out in the garden by 6am, with several of us waking up at 5 or even earlier.
To keep our team safe from the heat, we've categorized our tasks into three groups: Outdoors, Outdoor Covered, and Indoors. On the hottest days, we schedule all outdoor work to be completed by 10am, and then focus on covered or indoor tasks for the rest of the day.
Garlic Scapes
Garlic Scapes are here! We've been harvesting them throughout the week and have another week or do or harvests ahead of us. This week's Regular CSA share includes a bunch of garlic scapes, but if you'd like more head over to our online store or stop by our Farm Stand on Saturday where more are available!

The garden is getting more productive every week. Starting next week and in the weeks to come we're expecting to see many new veggies included in our CSA shares and available at market, including:

Cucumbers

Food Bank Donations
Every week we make produce donations to local areas food banks. If you're ever not able to receive your share, rest assured that nothing will go to waste. Monday morning we take unclaimed items from shares and include them with other produce in our donations.
