Weekly Update: October 22nd

One more week to go in our 2021 CSA Season - we're in the home stretch! We're shaping and adding compost to new beds for next year, packing and stowing our gear away, and before too long we'll be getting ready to vacuum out our irrigation lines and shut the water down for the winter.

Although our CSA program is coming to an end, there's still plenty of life in the garden. Even after the frost hits, there will be plenty of veggies to pick from as most of what we have outside at this point is frost tolerant. We plan to continue harvesting for the food bank and seeing how far we can push the season.

The Early Bird

Earlier today we sent an email to all CSA members about our Early Bird sign up for next season's CSA program. By signing up during the early bird period you get next season's membership at this season's pricing.

Our 2022 crop schedule isn't finalized but we're gathering and considering feedback in order to inform and shape changes and improvements. One new feature of next season will be the option to pick-up shares at the Kinmount Farmer's Market, where we attend as a vendor on Saturdays.

Season Reviews

Just a reminder that we'd love to hear your thoughts about this season's CSA program. Whether good, bad, indifferent, or otherwise, any feedback is appreciated and influences how we approach our work and future offerings.

Food Bank Support

So far this season we've donated over 3,500 pounds of fresh produce to our local food banks through the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. Thanks to all of you who support our operation and make this possible :).
